SOURCE: booting problem
your going to need the windows cd, you can try fixing the problem by entering the repair console, by pressing R when asked to on the first windows setup screen.
When your in the console type chkdsk and press enter, this should scan your harddrive for problems. you might need to use the force scan option if the disk is marked clean.
after its done shutdown your computer and try starting windows again, if it fails your going to need todo a repair installation, proseed back to the windows setup, install windows and when asked try to repair a old windows installation if that doesnt work.
try eraseing the old disk partitions in the setup and create a new one and install windows on it.
If that goes well, your going to need to get your laptops drivers. witch can be found in your laptops website.
If you need more asistance, let me know. Good luck.

updates can be slow, and lead to more updates sometimes.you should goto windows update, let it search for important updates then install them.even if it takes a while, once you do that it should be fine.and configure updates to auto download but ask to install.
