I have a top loader, but this should work. I suspect that you have hard water and calcium has built up in the washer tub. Start the machine just like you would wash a load of clothes. Let the machine start to agitate. stop the machine. open the door and pour in two (2) cups of white vinegar. Start the machine again and allow it to agitate with the water/white vinegar mixture. Stop the machine before the empty cycle, turn the machine back to wash and allow the machine to agitate again. Do this about three times total before you allow the machine to cycle through the drain cycle. Check the machine for cleanliness. Allow the machine to fill again with clean water and add a little amount of lemon juice to get rid of the vinegar smell. The white vinegar should dissolve the calcium deposit.
With acetic or formic acid its clean the calk residu
