It sounds liket he cable end or port either have something lodged in them or the cable end has been disfigured making it difficult to insert all the way. Us a magnying glass and check the cabl endfor disfigurement. Hope this is of help.

Nook HD will not charge or turn on

It may be your cable, I jsut had to replace mine and I had it under a year, the Nook is known to have troubles with the cable. See if your Nook is still under warranty and call customer service, if not, you may have to buy a new one.

My NOOK HD doesn't want to charge. What do you think the problem is...just the cable or something else. Thanks in advance for your help with this problem.

Cord that plugs into Nook may be loose in port and not making a good connection. You may even want to try a different USB cord.

Charging my nook and the screen came on and went to 99% and thats all the screen will do. Charging light shows green and then it sometimes goes back to orange.

It could be your cable, Nook is know to have faulty charging cables, you may have to buy a new one. If you do, here is a tip, search for a pen that you have to click the top to use it, take it apart and take out the spring, now wrap the spring carefully around the charging cord starting at the end where you plug it into the Nook, I attached a photo. This keeps the cord from bending and cracking the wires inside the cable cb393b2a-435d-4472-be29-0ac4a57497ee.jpg
