Unit won't finish final spin cycle and clothes are wet

What is the model number of your unit?

how much water is in the bottom of the tub and is it louder than normal if so could be small droplets of water leaking from tub seal if not the pump is restricted by something and req replacement

It is possible that the belt at the back of the machine is slipping. try running the spin cycle without any load in the machine. I assume this is a front loading machine and you are in UK. the Belt is available on line for about 15 pounds.

If it is running the washing cycles normally, it can't be the motor.

It sounds like you might have a broken belt or the belt just slipped off the pulley!

the most common cause is worn out brushes in the motor, sme brands you can rplace the brushes others require a new complete motor

Have you tryed replaceing the motor speed control. That is also what makes the machine spin.

• Check the drain hose for a partial blockage
• Inspect the water pump

Spin:

• Test the lid switch
• Test the timer control
• Test the centrifugal switch
• Test the water level switch
• Inspect the motor coupler
• Inspect the drive belt (belt drive only)
• Inspect under the washer for soot (clutch)
• Test the motor
• Inspect the pulley
• Test the transmission
