Coffee beans setting too small

* Brand and model needed for specific solutions.
* Check your warranty. Call for support

*** Following is for information only.***
* Bean grinders have a dial in front or a dial near the bottom of the been funnel (or bean bin.)
* Dials usually have size settings and may even be marked for the style of coffee to brew.
* Some of the smaller grinders have a dial around the collar of the bean container that have numbers or arrows pointing to coarse or fine grind. Some use a whole bean icon then smaller sand grind icon. Others may use numbers like 1-10 etc.
* For the super automatic coffee/espresso brewers they usually have a program enabled grind setting where a mini motor will adjust the grind for you depending on your coffee choice.
* The lesser "home" or office brewers may only have one setting and needs to be calibrated each time you change beans. (This is usually an adjustment knob or screw) Coffee needs to be brewed and tasted for each change of grind setting.
* Note that often changing the grind setting will also affect the ground coffee volume. (changing the size of dregs 'puck'). This also changes the flavor profile.
* Volume changes to brew needs to be done from the programing menu of the super automatic brewer.
* Espresso brews using a standard portafilter, it's critical to adjust the grind to the portafilter basket and dose water amount.
* Brewing in the coffee auto drip needs to have larger grind and more coffee to make up for the loss of flavor from large grinds.
* Smaller grinds intensifies the flavor but brings on bitter oils if ground too fine.
* Go slow and make taste tests each step of the way. Understand that it's a multi level balance between; Heat, Water volume, Flow rate, Pre-soak, coffee roast, coffee amount, besides just the size of the coffee grind.

Why won't my brew station brew the whole 12 cups at on time? We have to constantly turn off then on again.

You probably need to de-scale the brewer. Use cleaning strength vinegar and run it through the brewer until vinegar comes out, then let it sit fir 4 hours or so, then flush plenty of water through to get rid of the vinegar.

My Kenmore Elite grinder and coffee brewer ground this morning, but then would not brew. Any ideas? The machine stayed on but never made another sound.

Try cleaning the chute from the grinder to the basket. Coffee oils build up and plug the chute. I clean mine every 3 - 4 days and have had no problems.

Brewed coffee overflowed on to warmer plate. Now water does not heat and flow and warmer plate does not heat up.

Unless it is an expensive brewer, get a new one. The brewer needs the bottom plate to heat in order for it to work at all. Should be imune getting wet though, but sounds like bad heating element.
