SOURCE: Canon MX300 printer--I replaced the

Try this method to get the ink flowing:

  1. Simply fill a saucer with approx 2mm of just boiled water
  2. Place the print head in the saucer with the head in the water.
  3. Leave the head in the water for approx 2 - 5 Mins
  4. The Heat will assist in dissolving any blockages and help the ink to flow with out using any chemicals.
If it is a compatible cartridge you have used then it is possible to get a failure. Most are re-manufactured and are not 100% Reliable.
Also make sure the contacts on the inside of the printer are clean and all there. sometimes they can be damaged by removing and replacing cartridges. these can be cleaned with alcohol wipes.
I hope this helps Regards GM

Even though my black cartridge is full, my black and white documents are so light they are unreadable. My color cartridges are close to being empty. Can this be the cause?

printers use all cartridges to get the correct colour even black

Problem with color distribution

You should try to use a different cartridge to see if it is the cartridge or the printer itself.

Also, make sure that all of the colors are coming out of the cartridge. You can touch a moistened kleenex to the head to check this.

you should also try a deep clean.

1. Right-click the printer icon, and then select 'Properties'.

2. Click the 'Maintenance' tab, and then click 'Deep Cleaning'.

3. Select 'All Colors', 'Black' or 'Color' for the print head to be cleaned.

4. Read the message displayed, and then click 'OK'. The power lamp blinks and print head deep cleaning starts. (Do not perform any other operations until print head deep cleaning is complete. Print head deep cleaning takes about 1 minute.)

Please let me know how all of this goes and we can try further things if this is still a problem. thanks

Why won't my printer print black ink?

U may want to check the settings, sometimes with a few printers I've owned they give an option of using only color inks in cases where the black ink is out.

Black ink in printer not printing out but color ink prints out fine

The black print head is faulty or blocked.
Inkjet printers need to be used frequently to prevent ink drying out and blocking the print head nozzles.
If the print head cleaning maintenance routine does not clear the blockages, then print head needs replacing, but it may be expensive.
It may be more cost effective to buy a later model and better printer than replace the print head.

Black ink cartridge holder not working , can not print with black ink cartridge holder, when i use the colored ink holder printer works ok

The problem you are describing is with the black ( BC-10 ) print head and not with the printer.

1. Check your black ink tank and be sure it is not dry.

2. Run the printer through one DEEP cleaning cycle and see if that improves the print.

If your black ink tank is full, and the deep cleaning cycle produces no improvement, you will need to replace the BC-10 print head.

Printer will not print black ink.

I had this problem recently with my IP90. Both the black and color heads were clogged. After running the "canned" routines several times to clean the heads and deep clean the heads...still didn't help...here's what I did:

1. open the top lid to have the cartridges that are inserted in the print head to the middle of the printer.
2. remove both cartridges
3. What is left there is the print head..slightly move it to the right and gently lift the print head lock.
4. Grasp the print head and lift it out.
5. Have severasl paper towels hand and know that you will have color and bw ink on your fingers
6. Put the print head on the paper towel
7. Pour rubbing alcohol on the blk and color heads and let them sit of about 10-15 minutes.
8. after that dry the heads and re-insert them in the printer
9. I put new cartridges in the printer and ran clean and deep clean a few times.
10. May color and black and white print is back!

Hope this helps.

Printer will not print black ink

Hi please try these steps:::

Right-click the printer icon, and then select 'Properties'.
2. Click the 'Maintenance' tab, and then click 'Deep Cleaning'.

4. Read the message displayed, and then click 'OK'. The power lamp blinks and print head deep cleaning starts. (Do not perform any other operations until print head deep cleaning is complete. Print head deep cleaning takes about 1 minute.)

IF ABOVE STEPS DOESN'T WORK TRY THESE STEPS BELOW

Check ink tank vent hole The ink tank requires air to flow through it so ink can move from the reservoir to the print heads.

  1. Confirm there is no orange tape across the top of the ink tank

  2. If the orange tape is as shown in Figure (1), it is properly removed.

    ink_tank_tape.jpg

    *BCI-3's shown in this example.

  3. If the orange tape is as shown in Figure (2), remove the remaining tape to the level shown in Figure (1).

  4. Make sure each ink tank is snapped into the printer.

IF THESE STEPS DIDNOT WORK THEN YOUR PRINTER NEEDS REPAIR(You might need to change the printer head.)

Ink Cartridge

Some of Epson's cartridges went bad that way. It may be a bad cartridge. Get a new one, pull that one out and see what happens. If it works, call Epson for a refund. They had a class action suit for that type of thing, they lost and paid off. I would think they will help you right away.

Won't print in black

open your list of printers. r/click on the 780 and open properties. fo to the last tab "maintenance" and run cleaning 2 or 3 times then run deep cleaning 2 or 3 times. and see how this helps. If you've never done it before you might want to take out the print head and clean it with alcohol. Take out all the ink like you were changing them then reach in and gently pull out the container that holds the ink. This is the print head. Clean it and replace it, then run clean and deep clean again. run Nozzle check to see how clean it's become and you'll definetly see a difference in your printing. good luck
