First check if it's a Compatible one. Read user's manual for compatibility of your Boom Headset. If it's compatible, you should once again try to install it, but first uninstall partially installed or erratic installations previously made, then re install it. Before doing so, take Backup of your Phone.
To put the H700 in pairing mode, have the boom closed and hold down the call button. The light should turn purple, then open the boom. Connect to your phone.
I took mine apart to see what the problem was, the two wires that go to the mic had be broken. Probably by the sliding motion of the boom. Gonna try to fix it if i can..don't know, It will probably do the same thing again. Always remember- THE MORE MOVING PARTS TO SOMETHING THE MORE THERE IS THAT CAN GO WRONG!
Whats most likely wrong with your HS850 is the connect button on the front of the headset (the larger oval chrome one with an inlay of a traditional phone handset on it)is stuck down. To repair this you will hold the hand set and pull up on lanyard attach point firmly. (This facia is held on by double sided tape). After pulling the facia you need to purchase or borrow a T-6 Torx bit to remove the screw that holds the headset together. Once you get to the circuit board you will see what the button and spring assembly are (all is is a round piece of foil and the "spring" is a piece of tape using tension to pull the foil up!) Reset the piece of tape so it does not rest on the board and reassemble that headset. Enjoy your HS-850
