This may not be much of an answer so whatever you decide is fine.A site I use is retrevo.com
I am including a link to your specific DVD player but the links do not always work here.When you get to the site,just look around a bit.When you get to a point where the option for manuals is on the blue bar,click on that.When you find yours,all you need to do is enter the number code,do not need to sign up at all.It showed a way to set your player back to defult but it does not talk about the lock code,but does have a number to call if nothing there works.Toll free call but the other number listed I believe is NYC so good luck with that also because they are most likely both at the same building.When I have to call that particlar area,it is not fun.Good luck,Greg
Looks like it will work.It's purple.When it shows solid black it doesn't work.
