SOURCE: Door will only close when held down

That normally happens when the sensors aren't aligned. Both sensors have led lights on them the yellow/orange one will stay on all the time the green one will go out if it cant see the other sensor. Possibly theres a wire that's broken or the other sensor is really out of alignment. Check every inch of wiring from the sensor to the opener, remove wire nuts if present and check the connections. The wires that are used are small, solid and can break easily. Also see if there's a staple that's too tight, move the wire abit where it's stapled and look for damage.

SOURCE: My garage door opener won't close the garage door.

Most likely your door sensors have been bumped and are not aligned properly. Make sure they are pointed at one another and the small light on each one is lit and not blinking.

SOURCE: Left Sensor has yellow led & right sensor is

If the main light flashes 10 times when the door reverses it is a sensor problem. Make sure the door isn't hitting the floor and then reversing. This problem will not cause the light to flash 10 times and can be corrected by adjusting the 'down limit' which is on the side of the motor unit.

To answer your question the opener is in vacation mode. Press and hold for 3 seconds the button on your wall control with the lock icon. The green light will stop flashing and you will be back in business.

Make sure the brackets for the sensors are tight and the small light on the sensors is not blinking ever so slightly. You also might try shading the sensor so that the sun is not shining directly into the lens.

If the main light flashes 10 times when you try to close the door it is a sensor problem. Make sure they are not flickering ever so slightly and that they are not loose on their brackets. Tweak them a little bit.

Craftsman Model 139.53919 Door adjustment stop level broken

Because you had just changed the PIN for the keypad I would remove the battery in it and see if that makes a difference. It's a wild leap I know but.
If that doesn't change anything I think your logic board has failed.

I just installed a sears craftsman 1/2 hp garage door opener. when i close the garage door with the remote the chain track bends up just about 12 inches before it closes all the way, and this only happens...

What is wrong is you need to adjust the limit on the door when it comes up. What it is doing is coming to far back on the track. You need to push the back limit forward away from the motor so the door does not come back and drop down on the inside of the garage. The opener is trying to push the door up hill to get it to close that is why you are getting the bend in the track.

Good Luck

Garage door opener closes when closed

Try this: Loosen the chain enough that you can remove it from the sprocket above the motor. Now run the opener until the sprocket turns in the clockwise direction and stops. Reconnect the chain. This will get everything in sync and you will have to tweak the 'up and down limits' a bit to get it just right.

I have a craftsman garage door opener (1/2 hp) won't close proper

Check your door sensors. They have probably been bumped. Tweak them until they are pointed at one another and the small light on each one is lit and not blinking.

Belt drive track arm bows up

YOU MAY NEED TO GET THE SPRING ON THE DOOR ADJUSTED.

WHEN AN OPENER IS INSTALLED THE SPRING SHOULD BE SET A LITTLE HEAVY. YOU WANT THE DOOR TO SLOWLY DRIFT CLOSED IF LEFT HALFWAY UP.

IT SOUNDS LIKE EITHER YOUR SPRING NEEDS ADJUSTMENT OR THE DOOR BINDS AT THE BOTTOM - HOW DOES IT WORK MANUALLY??

IF YOU CAN'T CLOSE IT WITH 3 FINGERS THE OPENER WILL HAVE TROUBLE.

YES THE CRAFTSMAN RAIL IS WEAK MAKING IT THAT MUCH MORE CRITICAL TO SET THE HEIGHT PER INSTRUCTIONS AND MAKE SURE THE DOOR WORKS EASILY,

HOPE THIS HELPS

Garage door opened, won't close

If you can press and hold the wall button and the door will go down, you have a photo eye issue. Check the photo eyes at the bottom of the door.
