How to adjust panasonic rx5500 tuner alignment?

I suspect the DMR-BWT460GN has a weaker tuner than the DMR-BWT700. You can try moving your antenna. If it's outside, try a taller mast and make sure to check that the antenna hasn't rotated a few degrees on the mast. If you have an indoor antenna, switch to an outdoor one that is as high as possible.

If the transmitters are in different directions from your location, you can try combining the signals from two antennas pointing in the different directions. Alternatively, try an antenna rotator to move the antenna to align with the transmitters, as needed. (There are some that are automatic and change direction when you change channels.)

I hope these ideas help. Unfortunately, the only other option is to try and find a recorder with a better tuner. That would require trial and error testing with multiple boxes due to manufacturing issues.

It sounds that there is tuning drift with its tuner. If available, try by replace its tuner. google.com/+GopakumarGopalan

that problem is very common in a sony TV the main cause of that problem is the video IF.you can replace it with a new I.F. just adjust the I.F. to do it open the back cover of your tv.you can see the tuner soldered on the pc board.using a soldering iron and a desoldering pump take out the tuner from the board..remove the stainless covering of the tuner and soldered it again to the board there are two IF(intermediate Frequency) on the tuner the sound I.F and the Video IF.After soldering the tuner to the board power on the tv and use a plastic jewelry screw or an alignment tools then turn clockwise/counter clockwise gradually and slowly untill you reach a good signal...be carefull when adjusting not to touch with your hand the high voltage section...good luck hope I helped you Please vote for my help.

Replace STK 392-110 with stk 392-150 ( better).Check any resistor around stk ic.

1.Set your TV settings first,if you are installing a cable then set your TV to cable mode but if you seek for local channels set your TV to antenna with NSTC set to program.
2.When tuning make sure that the antenna is connected to the tuner and use a good antenna.
3.If the following procedures above did not remedy the problem,the next procedure is now internal repair.

a.Try to replace memory IC
b.If not remedy,try to replace tuner.
c.If not remedy,adjust IF and replace crystal.

Sounds like the red and green images have shifted.

In your settings menu there should be an option for it to self adjust or manual adjust of the red and green images alignment.

First of all go the service menu and try aligning it again, (it's like when you aligne the screen on a monitor). If that doesn't work something inside of the light engine system is moved.

Sounds like the guns are out of alignment. This isn't normally something that a user can adjust.

Has the television been dropped/jarred or moved recently?

If the TV has a manual degauss function, you can try that (assuming it's really a CRT). Otherwise unplug it from the wall for a half hour, then plug it back in and see if anything has changed.

It sounds to me like the convergence amps themselves have failed. Ic7001 and Ic7002, both are STK392-110 Sanyo built Ic's and not an expensive job for a qualified shop. When shopping around for a shop to repair it ask what they charge for replacement of the convergence amps in this unit. And take the unit to them to save pickup and delivery charges...
