My son has a sylvania 2232x 32 inch tv that the vevtical size is off by about 1/4 inch or so (just so you can only see about 1/2 of the ticker tape at the bottom of some sports shows) is this a bad cap. or what? he just wants the higth a bit shorter.

Before you replace any parts, have someone (TV service tech) check the vertical size settings in the service menu.

In order to perform this service menu adjustment, you will need a service manual and the service remote for the SRT2232S TV set.
This service should be done by an authorized service center. (This TV set was manufactured by the "Funia Corp."). Please let my know if i can be of further assistance.

now that i know there is a service menu how do i get to it? i know some of the older rca & ge sets had them but didn't know sylvania did.
