Can't get my work email to work with the phone security settings?

Q: How do I set up corporate e-mail?

A: This setup enables you to wirelessly synchronize your email and other information directly with the information stored on a Microsoft Exchange Server.

From the programs menu, tap Accounts.
Tap Add account.
Tap Corporate Sync.
Enter the domain, username, pass-word, e-mail address, and server for your Microsoft Exchange e-mail account.
Tap Next.
Note: Contact your company's IT department if you need more help. This feature works with Microsoft Exchange e-mail servers

Need to change user name and domain on Outlook email account

You cannot modify your existing ActiveSync partnership.
You must go into ActiveSync options on your phone and delete the partnership.
Note that deleting the partnership only deletes the copy on your phone. It will not delete the source mailbox on your server so don't worry.
Once that is done you can set up the new partnership with your new server.

I hope this helps.

Setup gmail on my samsung i600

I can access gmail on my phone; it's fairly straightforward: - unlock the keypad - hit the 'envelope' button at the bottom right to go into 'Messaging' - select the bottom item: "New Acccount" - choose "Other (POP3/IMAP)" from the e-mail provider list and hit Next - Enter your name and email address, then hit Next (leave the "Automatic setup" checkbox ticked; it makes no difference) - hit Next again to skip the automatic configuration - enter your gmail username (with the @gmail.com bit; I like to use the recent:[email protected] to download only the most recent emails) and password. Leave Domain (if necessary) blank and hit Next - choose server type "POP3", account name "Gmail" and select whatever network (WAP Gateway or Internet) you want to use, depending on how you want to connect - Enter the following - - Incoming Server: pop.googlemail.com - - Require SSL connection should be checked (ticked) - - Outgoing Server: smtp.googlemail.com - - Outgoing server requires authentication should be checked - - Outgoing server configuration: - - - Use different user name for outgoing server (if you've used the recent: username for downloading email) - - - Enter your gmail [email protected] - - - Enter your password - - - Leave domain blank and check "save password"  - - - check "Require SSL connection" - - - then click Done - - Select however many day's worth of emails you want to download and click Next - - Select "Never" to connect automatically if you aren't on an unlimited data tariff! - Click Next then Finish.
Hope this works!

Email

Which ever application you use (let me know specifically), you will almost always choose creating a POP account. You need from your service providers the following items.
  1. SMTP domain (ie. smtp.domain.com)
  2. POP domain (ie. pop.domain.com)
  3. Username to your email (ie. [email protected])
  4. Password for this account.
Your ISP will most likely have instructions about how to connect to them. If you go to their support and type in POP3 with Outlook or Outlook Express. You'll most likely get a hit.

In Outlook, go to Tools | Account Settings | Email to add the accounts.

Hope this helpa, if it does, please choose FixYa!

ThankYa!

Cannot Send or Receive Email

This may happen if your Internet connection uses dynamic DNS. Change the email application to use a fully qualified domain name for the login. A fully qualified name is composed of both the host and domain. Correct: yourusername.aol.com Incorrect: yourusername The correct fully qualified name can also be derived by putting your router's username and domain name together as they appear on the router's setup screens. E.g., if username = sueandfred, and domain name = aol.com, then the fully qualified name = sueandfred.aol.com. (Note the dot between the username and domain.)
