If i install ubuntu do i need my drivers for my computer like if i reinstall windows?

If you install Ubuntu (Linux), you will need a new set of drivers for Linux, you cannot use Windows drivers.
Most will come the distribution.
If not, you must contact the manufacturers for a Linux version of the driver that will work with your version of Ubuntu.

Linux in foxconn m61pme-s2

Hello here is the home page:

http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=2755#dl

Linux is not a supported system.

Due to different Linux support condition provided by chipset vendors, please download Linux driver from chipset vendors' website or 3rd party website.
Try the 32 bit version:

http://www.ubuntu.com/download/desktop

http://www.nvidia.com/object/unix.html

Here is some answers for the ubuntu site:

http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1963960

The display driver, should be this one:

http://www.nvidia.co.uk/object/linux-display-ia32-295.53-driver-uk.html

Ubuntu/linux can be installed along with windows.
Is that your plan ??

Good luck

How to activation camera in ubuntu os

UBUNTU is a linux open source OS. Chances are your camera doesnt have a Linux driver and wasnt designed to operate under Linux. The website http://www.ubuntu.com/support/communityis the user support community for UBUNTU.. I would post your question there for assistance from someone with a similar model for your laptop. There is also a selection for real time chat support from other UBUNTU users. I have checked DELL website under your unit and it was made to run the Windows XP system so there are no Linux drivers available directly from Dell.

Hi i am using ubuntu linux i need install netgear usb adapter wg111v3 how can i install in ubuntu please help me

NETGEAR does not offer any offcial drivers for the adapter to work on Ubuntu as they dont support Linux OS. However, you may try third party drivers to install the adapter on Ubuntu. Try the below link:

Hope this helps.

How do i use asus motherboard features in ubuntu linux .where do i get asus linux drivers for asus p5q motherboard?

Linux Ubuntu is fully automated. It is backward compatible with old hardware. You should have no problem installing and using it.

It will look for any drivers it needs. It has a vast repository of drivers and software. I have run it on a variety of machines and virtual machines with no problems.

I need help with making my operating system which is linux ubuntu compatible with microsoft video games.

there in lies the problem, you can run most games made for pc on ubuntu using wine, but if you don't have the correct display driver your fps will be horrible. there is also an app you can get made specifically for certain games called Play-On-Linux, apt-get install playonlinux. they also have a website, so you can try and google it

Ubuntu 8.10 wont detect my wireless card

You can try looking in the manufacturer website to see if they have made a driver for Linux. Actually, most Linux distros have a nice set of drivers, but not all hardware out there have good Linux support.Surprisingly, Ubuntu 8.10 detected one CompUSA USB wireless adapter for which they don't have the XP drivers.
