Why "do not disturb" on phone - Uniden 2.4 GHz Expandable Phone System with Digital Answering Machine

1. Pick up the phone handset and dial *98.
2. Press 1 to enable Do Not Disturb.
3. Once you hear the confirmation that Do Not Disturb has been enabled, you may hang up the phone handset.

Do Not Disturb (DND)
DND allows you to mute the ringer on all handsets.
In the standby mode (phone handset off and in cradle), press the do not disturb button on the base. The DND indicator will light and DO NOT DISTURB shows in handset display.
To cancel, press the do not disturb button again.

For GE 6.0: There is a button on the base (NOT the phone), you need to press it once again to turn off Do Not Disturb

For GE 5.8 GHz: 1. Pick up the phone handset and dial *98.
