Logitech x-240 is mute - Logitech X-240 Computer Speakers

check your cable, and properly insert cable in computer. if your speakers are muted, unmute it(lower right corner)

Check and make sure you don't have your web browser muted, or YouTube muted, un-mute them if they are.

You have to make sure it is not muted. Some logitech headsets have a mute button for the mic on the cord e.g. the logitech comfort usb blinks when it is muted. Make sure it is not muted in windows also. Go to your sound
> click recording devices
> click the logitech one
> set default
> click properties
> levels (make sure the michophone is not muted and 100).

Also make sure it is the set microphone in the program you are using and not muted.

To mute, press the mute button (the "logitech" logo). the mute light will flash when muted. Press the button again to unmute.

Seems that your Pure-Fi Elite had the same problem as mine...sorry for that, but this model does not have a "mute" function. If you bought it before 2 years ago, you are covered by warranty. Remember this model is not avaiable anymore....you will have to choose another U$150 Logitech product. Logitech didn't even asked me to send them my "mute" Pure-Fi Elite...

you should google it and find a woofer of the correct size with at least 8 ohms to be safe. (more ohms= less risk of fire!) good luck!

you probably have it plugged into the wrong jack 

yeah that set of speakers are trash.,..... time for a new pair ....try wallmart and the durabrand 5.1 surround for 39.99 great set of stereo speakers that connect to the computer and or your dvd player , and they have awesome sound quality...
