Playing a game and phone was blacking out with the words on bottom left hand screen safe mode then blacked out. I tried pushing all buttons at once all i got was the word samsung in the middle of the screen still unable to get anything else. Went and bought a new battery still nothing. As i have only had this phone for five months and would like to use samsung brand. After using nokia for the past twelve years with no problems and the same phone during that time, i felt the times was right to change brands and samsung was highly recommended however i am somewhat dissatisfied
Hello Debra, from what you,ve just said it appears your phone is in "Safe mode". And once that happens, you"ll be unable to use apps on the phone. So here's a quick tip to what you can do(if you can) or otherwise give a technician.
First: check the down volume button to see if it's constantly pressed down on its own. Cos that's where the problem starts. If it's not then move to step two. If it is, then guess it's not what you can do. You"ll have to give a technician in a repair centre to have the button changed/replaced.
Secondly: remove the battery, and try to fiddle i.e keep pressing the up and down volume buttons for few seconds before putting back the battery and power on. If same issue occurs then am afraid you'll have to take to a repair centre.
Drop your result afterwards.

SOURCE: touch screen not working?
well wen you dropped it did the ink move luiek the colours where were wrong for example the white was pink etc.. if this has happened ,and it is common in touch screen phones, the phone is no longer good you can still keep it if you want but the problems will get worse n worse until its just gone
SOURCE: My LG KS360 won't turn on the screen!
My daughter has gone through two Neons with the same problem. Each time we took the phone back to AT&T and they said there was water damage to the phones. We know this is not true. They claimed because the small dot under the battery was a redish orange color that indicated water damage. We paid the $50 and got another phone and when it arrived the dot was a reddish orange color. I have read up on this and have found that the reddish orage color is normal for the Neon and that most of the store clerks are unaware of this. If this is a new phone for you take it back to the store but dont let them convince you its your fault. I have been searching and this seems to be a common problem that LG and AT&T refuse to recognize. You can take back up with you if you just type in your search engine LG Neon problems. I was able to find numerous sites in which people complain of the same problem.
Sorry I dont have a fix for you, but I hope this information will help.
