CANNOT VIEW SMS TEXT

For the last few days i have a problem with my Iphone. On the main screen i can see that I have received several new SMS . but when I click on SMS icon i can't see the SMS list and the phone then returns back to the main screen

    same story here. sms have been received but when i touch the sms icon it opens and shuts. i cannot read any sms. i know we can reset the phone. i have done this twice and the problem keeps coming back after a while.

    pl assist on how i can retrieve these sms's first.

    When i receive a text i see the preveiw but when I click to "reply" it dose it dose not bring me to thr sms menu. I cant find the sms icon anywhere on my home screen.

Only solution i found is to delete all text messages. go to text messages menu, select edit, then start deleting them all. then it works fine

Try turning it off then cleaning the screen leaving it off for 2 min, then turn it on

How to forward an SMS from an iPhone 3G(S)
Hi,

For iPhones using firmware 3.0 or higher, forwarding of SMS messages is a built in feature. To forward a text message, simply
1) view the SMS text message conversation containing the message you'd like to forward
2) tap EDIT at the top of the screen
3) check off the message(s) you'd like to forward
4) tap FORWARD at the bottom right of the screen
For those using older firmware, there is a third-party application for the iPhone, iSMS (or weiSMS), with which it is possible to send text messages to multiple individuals as well as forward text messages

How do i retrieve a deleted text message from i phone 3g
If you have back up your text messages, you can restore from the backup.

To restore information from a backup, use one of the following methods after connecting your iOS device to the computer with which you normally sync:
1. Right-click (or Control-click) the device and choose Restore from Backup
2. If you have a new phone, you can connect to iTunes and it will prompt to restore from your backup
