When you put the SIM chip in there was little card that came with it... it has two PINs and two PUKs. Use the first PIN and it should open for you. If you've lost it, go to you phone provider and get a new SIM.. they should be able to transfer the data from you old one onto the new one.

I am sure of any way to wipe the lock password on the N800, other than re-flashing the firmware.
