Check the speaker/s first. If found OK; check and replace the damaged component/s at its audio output section circuit board. If needy, replace this board as card basis. How do I troubleshoot speaker problems where the volume is low and I have all controls to the max?

You probably have speakers that don't rely on a power supply to power the speakers...Usually the volume is subject to the external power provided to the speakers. The other possibility is that you don't have the cables connected into the correct ports...You might want to invest into a different set of speakers....There are some really nice speaker systems available with subwoofers and multiple speakers and surround sound Dolby sound.

Sound output is low nowadays even at full volume whereas before it was ok. I didn't change anything with my computer nor did I change my speakers.

Two possible causes.1) Vol Settings changed in windows2) Bad hardware
1) Check your system's sound settings:

For Xp
  • Goto Control Panel
  • Double Click Sound and Audio devices / Sound, Speech, and Audio Devices
  • In device Volume Click Advance
  • Master Volume Control Window will open
  • Increase all the volumes to max, also make sure that Mute us UNCHECKED.

OR
  • From the bottom right corner of your screen in system tray, double click a small speaker icon and open Master Volume Control.

For Vista and Windows 7
  • From system tray (its at bottom right corner of your screen) double click on small speaker icon, it will open Volume mixer
  • Increase the volume to max.

2) If this does not work, then test your speakers by connecting it to some other system and vice versa.
If you get desired sound volume when you connect some other speakers to your system, then you have to change your speakers. And if your speakers are working fine on other system then you may have to purchase a new sound card.

Sound problem

Check taskbar volume control and make sure its max. If you have volume buttons make sure they are maxed. Some laptops are a key combo to increase/decrease volume. Make sure whatever program you are running that the volume slider is all the way up. Go into your control panel and double check your volume settings. Go into your device manager and make sure there are no exclamation points in yellow next to any audio devices or codecs.

Sound is low

try to see if the wave volume is on and maximum on the volume panel ( double click on vol icon on tray system (right low) ) ...also see if your speakers are plugged into the proper place ...and are not in the auxiliary out or something like this ...they should be plugged into the green middle out ...if they are simple stereo 3,2 jack ...so ..if the problem its still on ..its probably the sound card...(actually the pre-amplifier on it ..)

Low sound

are you trying to use speakers that require amplification?

try pluging headphones to the sound port and if they sound good you are using the wrong kind of speakers.

Very low speaker volume with all controls maxed

Problem solved... It's embarrassing to report actually. The A3 has a manual volume control knob which sits quite inconspicuous at the front RH side of the case. Just never noticed it...

Loudness Equalization : on

Equalizer: Choose one (Jazz seems to be loudest setting but sounds of hallway effect so I use powerful for clarity.)

This has more than doubled the level of volume on my acer 5570.
