if the igniter doesn't work most likely it needs to be changed out.they do fail,sometimes the glow and still don't ignite the flame,it works on amps,it takes around 3.6 amps for the igniter to open the gas valve,you might see the igniter glow but if the flame doesn't ignite within 40 to 60 seconds the igniter has to be changed out.if you have a lazy igniter it can burn a hole through the burner tube,and then you have to change out both the igniter and tube,next time send the model number and brand name of oven so i can look up the part for you or whoever is helping you.

This happens when an oven igniter (glow bar) is bad. The igniter must draw enough amps to turn on the gas to ignite the flame. If you have a square shaped igniter use this part#5303935066 If your have a round shaped igniter use part#wb2x9154. These igniter will pretty much work universally for most gas ranges or ovens.

1. Remove the racks
2. Unplug unit
3. Take out the screw holding the bottom pan
4. Remove screws holding manifold where igniter is attached
5. Remove manifold cut wires about 2in link from igniter and clean leads.
6. Unscrew and remove igniter
7. Replace Igniter with new one and fasten onto manifold
8. Clean wires and screw on ceramic nuts to wires
9. Tuck wires back and Reinstall all components

Test your new igniter. You might notice it taking a little longer to light up but that is okay.

All of the igniters are connected together. When power is applied they all get activated and all burners spark. If one aint working either the ire to it is off, or the igniter have grease on it and therefore cannot get a good ground, or the hole beside the igniter is clogged and thus the gas won't ignite. This first video shows how they work and the second one is very important because it shows how to keep from damaging the stove while attempting repairs

it must be a problem of spark distribution try to remove the spark plug from your piezo electric igniter and clean it throughly it must work otherwise it will have to be replaced

I HAVE A 2 MONTH OLD GAS RANGE AND IT APPEARS ED-F3 AND THE OVEN DOOR IS LOCKED HOW DO I GET IT TO UNLOCK

Is the bake igniter working ? There are two igniters one for bake and one for broil My guess is that the bake igniter is bad and only the broil igniter is working. part #WB2X9154.

hi thanks for the question just because the igniter lights up doesn't mean its good, the gas will not light, if igniter isn,t hot enough. and a very common problem is that the igniter does come on, but not hot enough to ignite the gas . replace the igniter thanks the appliance doc
