Good Morning Friend,

I understand you are replacing the soap dispenser in your Frigidaire dishwasher, model# FDB1050REC, and want to know how to access the screws to remove front panel of the door. Typically, this is not a do it yourself repair, as there are no step by step instruction manuals for this repair. I suggest contacting your local authorized technician for further assistance. I hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

SOURCE: soap dispenser door

I have a whirlpool that had this problem ... items in silverware compartment were blocking the soap door. when we opened the DW, the soap door was open, but could not open properly during the cycle due to kitchen utensils in the way ... took a while to figure this our as it was intermitent (both the problem ... and us putting tall stuff in front of the soap door). Our soap door needs 3.5" of free space in front of it ... I think it's a design flaw. Good luck.

Gallery. How can I remove the front panel?

Hey Mike, thank you for your post!
From the information you have provided you need assistance removing the front panel from your Frigidaire washer. In order to locate any additional information I would need to have your model number. You can locate the serial tag (which lists your model number) on the door frame of your washer. Once I have that information I would be happy to assist you further. -Matt

Ge potscrubber 700 dishwasher - the soap dispenser cover is locked and will not open. I have run the dishwasher several times and tried to force it but it will not budge. any suggestions?

Soap dispenser cover will not open until front knob is at 4:30 or 5 o'clock. Turn knob to 5 o'clock and jiggle dispenser cover. If cover still does not open, is detergent caked such that door won't open? If yes, remove caked detergent. If no, disconnect power at breaker. GE repair manual says to remove screws for inner door panel and inspect detergent dispenser mechanism with lever and trip lever for broken or binding parts.

HOW DO YOU REPLACE THE DOOR LOCK I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO GET AT THE LOCK THE WASHER ONLY LOCKS IF YOU HOLD IN ON THE TOP OF THE DOOR

Disconnect power then open the dispenser cover and remove the four screws securing the dispenser bezel to the top cover then lift the bezel off. The top cover with the dispenser bezel off can be lifted to the rear of the machine to access the door locking mechanism, but you have to remove the front panel first.

Open the machine door and remove the four screws located vertically along the inside lip of the door opening. These screws hold the front panel to the front shroud assembly.

Once the four screws are removed, grasp and press in on the upper edges of the front panel posts then twist it inward to release the clips holding it to the cabinet. Tilt the top of the front panel then move it away and set it aside.

The top cover is held on each side of the cabinet by two hold down brackets. Locate and remove the 5/16" hex-head screws holding each bracket.

Maytag front load washer Neptune MAH5500B codes FL and DO

There is an emergency access cord provided for the manual unlocking of the washer door and can be accessed by removing the dispenser bezel. Open the dispenser cover and remove the four screws securing the dispenser bezel to the top cover then lift the bezel off. Once the bezel is removed, look for the nylon cord near the door lock assembly through the opening left by the dispenser bezel. Pull the cord away from the door lock assembly to pivot the mechanical opener and push the locking lever into the open position. Open and close the door several times then start a new cycle.

Check the door lock assembly if the problem persists and replace it when necessary. Disconnect power to the washer prior to servicing to avoid the risk of electric shock.

Access to the door lock assembly requires the removal of the front panel, dispenser bezel, and lifting of the top cover.

Open the dispenser cover and remove the four screws securing the dispenser bezel to the top cover then lift the bezel off.

Open the washer door and remove the two screws securing the door hinge and the front panel to the front shroud assembly. Do the same to the two screws on the opposite side of the door opening.

Disengage the front panel posts from the clips located on the face of the cabinet by grasping the upper part of the front panel posts and pressing in on the outer edges then twisting it inward. Once the front panel posts are released from the cabinet, tilt the front panel away from the cabinet and remove it.

Remove the two 5/16" hex-head screws securing the two top cover hold down brackets; one on each side. Swing the brackets to the outside to unhook it from the lip of the top cover then lift the top cover to expose the door lock assembly. Prop up the top cover to prevent it from falling back into position while accessing the door lock assembly.

Disconnect the wiring harnesses from the door lock assembly and the two mounting screws then rock the top of the assembly forward and lift it off the front shroud assembly.

Clean the wiring terminals and the connectors then reseat the connectors several times. Replace the door lock assembly when the problem is not resolved.

Install the new door lock assembly in reverse of the steps given above. Review the steps thoroughly for easy reassembly of the washer. Make sure the wiring harnesses are properly and firmly seated to the door lock assembly terminals. The door lock assembly is part number 22004435.

Creda Simplicity 1000 Washing Machine not heating water

Make sure that you have not got the energy save button in operation, as this by-passes the heater, and will wash at the incoming water temp. It should not be showing green
If this is not the case, then the heater has probably failed.
To access the heater, you need to remove the top cover, remove the soap dispenser drawer, and undo the 4 screws securing the console panel to the top of the washer.
Pull off the timer knob, noting the position of it, and slide the console panel to the right, support it with something.
Remove wire cllip holding door seal to front of panel, and pull off the seal at the front.
Undo the screws securing the front panel at the top.

Undo 3 screws at bottom of front panel.
Lift front panel clear, and stand it at the right of washer, be careful of the wires still attached to the door lock.
At the bottom, in the center, you should find a black cover, remove that, and you will see the heater element.
You eally need a meter to test it for continuity, and or an earth fault.
Replace if faulty.
Please leave a fixya rating for my suggeted solution.
Thankyou.
