Protron 32" won't turn on

Today got a package from Protron. replacement power supply that they sent me free. Problem is they sent one for a pltv32 and mine is a pltv3250, got the wrong one. 32 is external and 3250 is internal

Look at the power supply first since it is easier to get to, look for burnt parts, bad capacitors, etc.

You will have to have the set checked by someone to confirm this,
but most likely there is a problem with the TVs internal power supply.

no sound, everything was working fine the night before. woke up the next morning, and turned the tv on, and there was no sound at all. nothing from the TV, DVD, and nothing from the Computer. Please help. [email protected].

I have a Protron 32" LCD. My power supply crapped out as so many others have. There are several web sites that have the same complaints about the Protron LCD TV. Most of them refer to a bad power supply. A replacement power supply is almost impossible to get. However, I found that some people had their power supply repaired by a man in California. They even posted a link to his email address. I live in New york, but I figured, what else have I got to lose? If this doesn't work, I need a new TV anyway! His name is Dave Simpson and he responded to my email the next day. I shipped my power supply to him, and he fixed it! I got it back, plugged it in, turned on the television just in time to see my football team get destroyed! The whole process took less than a week! The best thing about this is that the cost of the repair was quite reasonable! This is especially true when you think of how much a new television would cost you! He even takes Paypal! Is the blue light on the blax box ( ac adapter) on? Mine just went as well.... if its not on you need a new ac adapter... Mine overheated, vents got clogged with dust, this is the second one that went on me ... but the TV is fine

I had a pwer supply for my Protron 32 inch TV that was not working. I bought the one on ebay and it stopped working after only three weeks. Ultimately I found a guy who could fix my original power supply for a reasonable price. It been working for a year now with no problems. I wish I would have tried him first!!!!
