If there is no response anywhere at any time then you probably have to replace the digitizer. Also if you have a plastic protector sheet take that off and try it.

take your "pointer" and insert it into the hole on the back of the phone, opposite the pointer "home"; mine did the same thing, and that fixed it. good luck

Perform hard reset. Press on and reset at same time. If this was helpful, please post as such. If it fixed it.....fixya. TY

This is straight from Palm Support...
1.Press and hold the UP button on the front panel of your device.

2.While holding the UP button, use an unfolded paper clip, or the reset tool at the tip of your stylus, to gently press the RESET button inside the hole on the back of your device


3.The Palm Computing Platform screen will appear. Release the UP button when you see it.

My touchscreen was acting batty, not responding where I was touching. The solution for me was to:
1. remove my screen protector
2. Take a piece of paper, fold it in half, and scoop under the lip the case where it holds the touchscreen in to fish out debris that were distorting how the digitizer recorded.
