My MC55 will not respond to a cold or warm boot. I have fully charged the battery. The screen will not respond when I tap it. The screen is white withe the Motorola logo and MC55 Series. Is there anyway to get this back to working again with out sending it to a tech person?

unfortunatley if your device is preconfigured for 1d only you will not beable to scan or decode 2d barcodes. Which configuration of the mc55 do you currently have? if you can provide me with this information i can let you know if it is possible or not.

Hello, Datamatrix is 2D Symbology. Actually this MC55 is a model with 1D Laser Scan engine. The laser cant scan 2D barcodes, therefore he is not decoding the datamatrix barcode.
You would need an MC55 with an 2D Imager or with Camera to scan 2D Barcodes.

Instructions are provided in the zip file.
If you have an cradle for the MC55, you could connect it with an PC and use some kind of remote control software to kill the application and then erase the autostart entry.

you will need to go to support.symbol.com and download the clean boot file for the mc55
