I have a computer that I received from my dad and he forgot the password

no PC told, maker nor model told
the PC 12, makes and 100000 model
all have a service tag that tells what is in your hand
we can not see your failing screen,
so is that a black bios admin PW ?
or just windows login page lost PW>?
learn to at least tell that or post photos of screen failing

I turn the power on and my light stays yellow and the fans work but it beeps

The beeps you hear are BIOS Beep Codes and tells you what problem is keeping the computer from booting. We need at a minimum, the computer make & model or the motherboard model #. If you also know what BIOS it uses (Award, AMI (American Megatrends), Phoenix...etc), this was displayed during the boot process when the computer worked if you happen to remember it.
Once you know this we can find the code that tells what the problem is.

Cannot find acer veriton model number

If you are talking about the motherboard model number I suggest you go to CPUID.com, and download CPU-Z. Tiny, little, free, program that tells you vast information, about the hardware components inside your computer. It will also tell you the manufacturer of your motherboard, and the model number.

You can find the model of your computer by knowing the information on your service tag.

If it's store bought there should be a lable on the back with that information. a computer that was built would require removing the side case and obtaining the number off the motherboard. there is a third way but i find it unreliable so i'll not mention it.
