SOURCE: Malibu TDC PTST-30012 turns on in the middle of the day

1) Contact malibu lights directly.
Their site does not acknowledge TDC PTST-30012, so I cannot access a manual with best information.
Their products come with a warranty.

2) If unit can be set to override, you can buy cheap photo eye timer, and then plug power pack into cheap timer, but there is no guarantee this will work, or that power pack will burn out.

3) Buy ordinary power pack with dial-type timer, and then buy photo eye that fits.

4) As electrician, I would not buy anything that costs more than $15 that comes with built-in photo eye that cannot be replaced.
Especially something as buggy as a low voltage power pack.

Trying to manually set engine at TDC?

If you do not remove the spark plugs, when you attempt to turn the crank you are fighting the compression in the cylinders. Removing the plugs will make turning the crank manually much easier. It is also one of the ONLY ways to know if you are on TDC of the #1 cylinder compression stroke if you have a distributor-less ignition (coil packs). If you don't feel for the pressure coming out of the #1 hole, you could line the timing marks up 180 degrees out.

A clogged inlet. Something is likely clogging the opening where the dirt goes in. Paper, cellophane, or anything else light enough to get sucked in but too large to pass through.

I am not familiar with TDC brand
Purchase cheap plug-in timer, set lamps to override, and then lamp cord into cheap timer.

If this is a low-voltage power pack system, your power pack may have a 5-year warranty.

Can I set it to go on once and off once? Using only one set of trippers.

According to manual, you insert trippers at times that you choose.
It doesn't say insert all 4 trippers.
It appear that timer works fine with a single on-off

To double check, connect timer and lamp, put on-off trippers in place, and then manually rotate timer dial clockwise.
Manually rotating dial will simulate same action taken by clock motor.
You can watch for light turning on-and-off and see if plan works.

Make sure lamp is turned on.
Bulb is good
And receptacle has power

2001 kia optima 2.5L setting the timing

TDC stands for Top Dead Center, however it is only to set the cylinder number ! at TDC, if yu know where the timing marks are align the crank pulley mark to the "0" of the timing mark, usually this can be achieved by setting the crank shaft doel pin to twelve 0 clock position.
