SOURCE: set top box and remote control

My remote wasn't working until I programmed it to work with itself ... (how odd it wasn't done already).

"CBL" button and ""OK/SEL" held down simulataneously for 3 seconds ... then "001" for the Scientific Atlanta. If the unit turns off, you're in business.

You need to set your tv to the output of the set top box. Hopefully NOT a cable company style cable, but rather RGB or HDMI.

Venturer is a no-name brand manufactured in Indonesia from older Samsung chips and it's not officially supported by the remote of your box. You can do 2 things:
1. try to make it work: try first all the codes for Samsung tv's; if none of them work you have a last option- do a code scan, maybe one for another tv will match.
2. just set the volume of the tv at a higher volume and leave it there and use the volume control from the box remote in the normal way.

SOURCE: I have prchased a Proline

Unfortunately, if you have two unitswhich use similar remote control signals then there is not a lot you can do except prevent one of the units from receiving signals (or replace one of the units with a different make). If you use the TV remote control only very rarely then you might get by with sticking some black cable insulating tape over the Infra Red pick-up on the TV (usually somewhere on the bottom edge of the screen).
I would return the digital box and get a different make/model.

I have lost my remote control for my Thomson Tv model number 28WR25UG and is stuck on set up language page, how do I get rid of this without a remote?

Without a remote control, you can't change this option. Just buy one universal remote control, which have setup codes for Thomson Brand.

Can't change input to play Xbox without clicker. With tv clicker I could access channel 00, which allowed me to play xbox. now the clicker is broke and I can't access channel 00. can i do this through...

The only way is with the remote. Try to find a GE or RCA universal remote. These remotes are designed around GE and RCA tv's and generally don't have to be programmed. (GE and RCA are both THOMSON made sets). Thanks

Hopefully those of you who still own their DTI550 had it operational this last weekend and picked up the download that fixed this? If not, it should be repeated some time soon. So don't throw your 550 away yet!
