If the deck was supplied with grease zerks, they will be located on top of the spindle mandrels. If there are no zerks on the spindle mandrels, the bearing are a sealed bearing and need no greasing.

a lot of problems here.try this.[grass buildup]. usually cause by damp grass or blades not going fast enough to throw into box.engine cutout is then caused by grass jamming blade[s]. backfire is usually too much choke or wrong petrol/air mixture.re bent grass.try cutting driving in reverse[if strip is wide cos of back tyre then blade is uneven.]

SOURCE: There is a big, wrap-around lifting bar in the

most rideons have the deck assembly able to be removed without too much work.usually release any spring tension, then spring clips holding the arms on,then usually you can disconnect the belts and slide the whole deck out sideways, from under the rider.

SOURCE: how to replace the spindle on a 48 inch mower deck

OK, Now I see your question under a different post. You are going to have to pull the deck out from under the spindle housing and spindle and replace them. They usually come as an assembly. after removing teh deck you should see the spindle housing retaining bolts to remove. Make sure you pull the blade off that spindle before you try removing it.

How do you Assemble the anti-sway rod on a Husqvarna mowing deck?

The anti-sway bar fits into the frame. Then the sway bar then fits into the deck and connects with a washer and clip.

I canot get a bagger kit for the 54inch cut lawn tractor in UK, can a 48, bagger be fitted and altered to fit which I can get in the UK

I have never seen a catcher for this size of deck, Husqvarna do not offer one, i am sure the deck aperture is different from the 48" machine, if the catcher is available in the US, would they just supply the upper and lower chutes? the 52" deck produces a vast amount of grass, so will fill the boxes very quickly, you would spend more time going back to the dumping area than actually mowing, mulching would be a much better option, if you have to collect would a tow sweeper not be better, it holds more grass, and you would not have issues with poor draught, and grass blocking in the chute ( a big problem with noise compliant machines, and damp grass , and side ejection )

Leaving streaks of grass in middle of mower

Your forward speed may be too fast for the mower blades to cut every blade of grass. It may be new, but check the deck to see if there are any dents pushing the quill assemblies up making the deck cut uneven. Or it may have the wrong blades on it.
I have seen this problem in the past with a Gravely mower. The person was trying to cut grass to fast. He sold the unit and the new onwer did not noticed any the problems the old owner described.

Cutting size question

* f your yard is up to an acre in size, the ideal cutting width is 30-42" (76-106cm). To avoid being underpowered, or putting too much strain on the engine, make sure your mower or tractor offers a minimum 14 horsepower. Riding mowers are the most commonly purchased for lawns this size. * For a yard that is between one and three acres, you’ll reduce your mowing time with a cutting width of 42-46" (106-116cm) and a strong engine up to 16 HP. Typically people purchase lawn tractors for yards of this size. * If you’re mowing more than three acres, you’ll need to look at the garden tractors, with cutting widths up to 54" (137cm) and at least an 18 HP engine, preferably bigger.
