Why does alarm light and alarm come on after power outage and comes on few hours after reset switch is pressed?
After power outage,alarm light and alarm on. temperature flashing between 6 and 0. Pressed reset switch, alarm stops. light stays on. After few hours, temperature flashes again and alarm comes on. Freezer seems to be working fine. How can we shut off the alarm and light so it doesn't come on every few hours?

If the alarm light on your AEG freezer is still flashing after you have followed the instructions and pressed the button, it may indicate a problem with the freezer. If the sides are hot, look at the defrost timer. Sounds like it has stopped running with the defrost elements on. When such temperature rises above a certain level (-12 °C), the appliance will trigger an acoustic and light alarm. The light alarm is a blink red light (Red Alarm Indicator Light), while the acoustic alarm is an intermittent sound.

You said, your Frigidaire freezer 17 cu. ft. , it keeps buzzing or peeping The alarm may be malfunctioning or it may be warning you of low temperature. You can go to any hard ware store and buy a refrigerator thermometer and ask them if it can go into a freezer too!It can, But ask anyway!
