Hi
I am sure there are numerous reasons why E1 appears on the LG washer...I was draining my machine to check for blockages when E1 appeared....I discovered it was simply a water pressure issue (there was no water in the machine to start as I had drained it all) I added a bucketfull of water to the machine before starting and hey presto E1 gone

The 1E error or fault code is to indicate that the washer is not filling with water. Check to be sure the water supply valves are open. Also, check to be sure the water supply hoses aren't kinked or clogged. Next, remove the hoses from the washing machine and run water into a bucket to test the pressure and flow of the water. If all of these check out and you have good water pressure and flow to the machine, you should replace the water inlet valve.

Well done by resolving this problem. The other way to avoid the siphoning problem through the drain hose is adding an air gap valve/connector (available at any hardware store). You can use it even if you don't have a garbage disposal in your kitchen sink. That will assure that you have the proper height of the drain hose.
Hope this helps!

SOURCE: lg dishwasher lds 5811st E1 error code

Hi Chaz,

The impeller breaks on the motor shaft. The motor still turns, but the impeller doesn't, so it doesn't pump water. Because the machine senses there is no water pressure from the pump, it shuts down & displays E1 (it thinks there's a water leak, due to no pressure)
Unfortunately the motor/impeller is only available as a complete assembly

Hope this helps

SOURCE: What is an E1 error code for an LG Dishwasher? Model LD12AW2

Please check at both ends of the drain hose and confirm that you do nit have a leak. Also, please confirm that water is not leaking directly under the dishwasher.
If you are certain that you do not have a real leak, check the impeller (under the mesh filter in the sump area beneath the lower dish rack) is not damaged and is firmly in place.
The E1 error code is a Leakage Error, detected by the motor spinning faster than it should if the unit is filled with water.
Please report back with what you find. Good Luck!

SOURCE: lg dishwasher ld2120w is displaying

This happens to my LG dishwasher every 6 months or so. It also makes a groaning sound as if the system is starved for water. I resolve the problem by removing the dishwasher and laying it over on it's right side. I then remove the two plastic assemblies that are on the left side and I remove them from the dishwasher (you will need a vice grips to remove the hose clamps from behind them, you will also need to remove the round circular water intake plastic disk that is on the inside of your dishwasher on the left hand side right in the middle of the left wall) and clean them. Once the water can run freely through these plastic parts you will get a good water flow and you should be fine. Until you have time to do this I recommend putting a few quarts of hot water into your dishwasher once you start to hear the groaning problem. This solution should be very easy for anyone who is comfortable doing their own oil change. Oh, and turn off the power supply first. I think the origin of the problem might be too much food on the plates and too strong of a dishwasher gel detergent so the food is turned into gunk which coats the channels of the plastic assemblies.

LG dishwasher LD2080TH Error code: E1

LG has programmed in the E1 error code to indicate when the drain pump is running, it is not receiving the back pressure it needs. This is most likely an indication that there is a water leak in the draining system.

I have a freestanding LG dishwasher and the E1 error message has come up. How do I fix it?

The E1 ERROR mean's your main wash motor is clogged or failed & you need to pull it apart completley to test or clear the blockage.Generally its just clogged so get a lg service guy to do it cause he will know your dishwasher inside out.THANKS, ECO KIZZA

LG dishwasher error code E1

E1 is a code that the dishwasher displays after detecting a leak. There is a sensor on the pan at the very bottom of the unit. Take the bottom front panel off, look under the unit at the hose coming off the pump and your fill line to be sure no water is dripping. Run the unit in a wash cycle while doing this if possible.
