SOURCE: Amana oven and broiler won't fire

Check your stove breakers first. Click them off, leave them off for a minute and put the breaker back on. It sounds like you are having a power supply problem. Make sure to check your potlet and power chord as well.

SOURCE: Amana Model ARGS7650E Oven Problem

No matter that the igniter glows you must measure the current... If the current is less than 3.2 or 3.6 you must change it (this current is for the igniters with rectangular white base). The current to open the valve is the same that passed through the igniter so if it doesn't reach the proper value it will never open (or sometimes open sometimes not).Mine is not opening and the current is 2.9 so I'm going to replace it tomorrow.

SOURCE: Amana stove, oven igniter works but oven wont light

although the bake ignitor appears to be glowing, it probably does not glow with the intensity it needs to open the safety valve assy, VERY common problem, go aheadand replace the ignitor, this will correct your issue

Amana arg7800ww oven will not come up to temperature.

Your gas valve has a thermocouple circuit that will not let gas flow until the ignitor is hot enough. A failed ignitor can still glow but not be hot enough to open the gas valve. Replace your ignitor.

Oven does not work

First off check to be sure there is 120 volts at the wall outlet as this controls everything and may be as simple as a breaker or fuse. If that's okay then the igniter is the most commonly defective part and has two main functions. First,it draws electrical current through the oven safety valve to open it. Second, when it gets hot enough to glow it ignites the gas in the oven burner. If the igniter gets weak, it will fail to open the safety valve correctly. If the valve does not open, the oven will not heat. To determine if the igniter is defective, observe the igniter when the oven is on. If the it glows for more than 90 seconds without igniting the gas flame, this indicates that the igniter is too weak to open the valve. If the igniter is weak, replace it. If the igniter does not glow at all, use a multimeter to test the igniter for continuity. If the igniter does not have continuity, replace it.
