Does it run all time? What are the symptoms? You could have your thermostat wires touch together and it will cause the unit to run all time. Your thermostat wire runs from the inside of the furnace to the thermostat and from the outside to the thermostat may want to check the wire all the way from units to thermostat, I can't understand your problem need more information.

Which thermostat to use 4-wire Goodman gas furnace

blue is common. never let that wire touch any other color or you will short the transformer. Use a thermostat for single stage gas heat. R=Red W=White Y=Yellow which should go to the outdoor ac contactor and C=Blue which should also go to the outdoor ac contactor. If in doubt call a qualified Heating contractor to help you install. It can get quite expensive letting the smoke out of your parts.

My gas pack won't light

First, the thermostat white wire is the wire that initiates the furnace to start. When you select heat on your thermostat the tech should get a 24-28 volts between the white wire and common on the thermostat wire in the furnace. If you do not get the required voltage, there is a break in the wire from the furnace to the thermostat that needs to be tracked down and eliminated.

Goodman package heatpump blower motor contant running

check your themostat fan mode switch to see if it in on or auto. It should be in auto. If this does not stop indoor fan motor, (it may take up to 2 minutes for the fan to stop, preprogrammed shutoff in the thermostat and fan control cards may make you think the fan has not stopped ) If this does not stop the fan the fan control board in your air handler has a green wire shorting to 24 volt signal in the theromostat wire or the contact on the blower control card is stuck and will need replaced.

Loose thermostat wire outside at condensor. Will not turn off when inside unit is off. If you wiggle thermostat wire or tap on housing it cuts off. What next?

That does not sound like a thermostat wire but rather a sticking .contactor If your unit runs after the thermostat shuts off and you tap the unit and it shuts off the contactor is sticking and needs to be replaced.

I set the tstat to cool everything ok i set tstat to heat it blows the fuse on pc board

Check for wires rubbing together from the thermostat to the furnace. More than likely there is a short somewhere in the low voltage wiring. Check the wires on the thermostat also to make sure none are touching together.

I need to know the common terminal on a Goodman furnace for an Aprileair whole house humidifer. As per the Aprileaire wireing instructinos, it should not be either High or Low common.

On the circuit board where the thermostat wire connects (inside bottom door of furnace).
There are different terminals R, W, G, Y, C. C is the 24 volt common terminal.

I HAVE A GOODMAN MODEL GSC130361 I HAVE A BLUE WIRE AND YELLOW WIRE AND A RED, WHITE COMING FROM INSIDE THE HOUSE HOW DO THEY GO TOGETHER

Look at the wiring on your thermostat in the house. The wires should connect to the same terminals that they are connected to on the thermostat. Red to R, Yellow to Y, Blue may go to C or O or B, you will have to look at the thermostat to figure it out, and White will go to W or W1, look at the thermostat to make sure on that one also.

Hi I have a goodman it wont turn on , the only

check voltage at the contactor (coil) when the thermostat calls for cooling and see if you still get 28vac; if you do, it has to be a bad contactor coil, if not, which i suspect, you either have a short in the thermostat wire going to the contactor coil or a faulty control transformer; check for loose or broken wires

Goodman with 2 thermostats, freezes in summer, no heat in winter

is the system zoned? if so maybe the zoning control board to the damper motor is wired improperly. when a system freezez its because of 1- restricted air flow across coil, (maybe dirty filter) or 2-low refrigerant charge. again could depend on how its zoned.
