the universal remote normaly have more than one code for the same brand, keep trying deferent codes for that brand and you will fine the right that will work.

Four digit universal remote code for Sanyo are:-

0049 0097 0110 0004 0268 0012 0108 0180

Try each code after switch the TV Off by its power switch and switch it On again until you find the suitable code for your TV, keep that number safe for further use.

Direct Code Entry

1. Press and hold the SETUP button until the red indicator stays on, then release the SETUP button.
2. Press and release the desired Mode button (TV, VCR, etc.). The red indicator blinks, then stays lit.
3. Enter the 4 digit code from the code tables. Note: after a valid code entry, the red indicator turns off. For an invalid code, the red indicator flashes.
4. With your device on, press CHANNEL UP. If the device responds, no further programming is required. Note: If some buttons do not operate your device, try one of the other codes for your brand.

it is for t-255 sanyo tv.... press menu key on tv set& sleep button on remote handset simultaneously...again press sleep key on remote handset.

no you require the remote or a universal remote or sometimes a cable remote that has been programmed to work the volume on the tv set will have an input button .

I am relentless when it comes to problems like this. I had the same problem with my TV being stuck in video mode. I found out that there is a reset button......It's on the @*&#^&^ original remote!!!!! So I tried programming my Time Warner Scientific Atlanta AT8550 remote for the TV to see if the "video source" button would work. IT WORKED!!!! You have to use code 1062. Instructions are:

1. Turn the TV on.
2. Press and hold select and the TV keys until the lights blink twice.
3. Enter 1062. All mode keys blink twice to indicate that the code was accepted.
4. Point the remote at the TV and press power to test the TV.
5. You can then successfully use the "Video Source" button on the bottom left of the remote to change the video mode. VOILA!!!

If you don't have a Scientific Atlanta AT8550 remote, I'm sure you know someone that does. They're everywhere!
