SOURCE: how do I reset dcp-8045d hex dump mode

Probably the easiest way to turn off the Hex Dump mode would be to reset all printer settings. There should be a reset menu that will allow you to reset the printer to factory defaults. After which it should recognize the new ram and print normally.

Testimonial: "the first answer I got worked like a charm. answer. turn off printer, hold down stop/exit while simultaneously turn printer back on. continue to hold down exit button until turns completely back on, whaalaa. fixed. thank you, been hex dumping for two days."

SOURCE: Printer printing out code and screen message is: HEX DUMP MODE

This is how you exit dump mode on Brother HL4040-CN.

  1. Power printer on and wait until it's ready. Should read Hex Dump Mode in printer lcd.
  2. Press "ok" followed by "go" and then in (very!) rapid succession "arrow up" four times. It took me several tries to get the timing tight, you have to be really (really!!) fast! The direct light starts flashing blue when you succedd.
  3. Now press "arrow down" once so it says "maintenance 99". Press "ok" and wait until printer resets.
  4. Find printer on network from computer. Note that all pre-programmed ip:s etc will be reset.
  5. Download firmware update from manufactors website (link below).
  6. Run update and wait. Usually takes 5-10 minutes.

Congratulations - no more hex dump mode!

How can I view my encrypted sync passwords on my mobile phone

Passwords are not saved on the phone. Sign ins on Android use a token system. You may possibly dump the memory with qpst and look for password with a hex editor, given you have access to diag mode and all drivers setup properly.

It states 'hex dump' on my printer and I don't know what it means

A hex dump is a list of hexadecimal numbers (base 16 numbers) of probably the contents of the memory.
This Hex dump is generated when the computer comes across a computer problem and can help Microsoft determine the cause and fix if this is sent to Microsoft.

I am sending raw data to the printer. Where to find ESC codes for different control ops

Hi,

This feature allows experienced users to see exactly what data is
coming to the printer. This can be useful in finding software
problems. When you turn on the hex dump function, the printer
prints all commands and other data in hexadecimal format, along
with a guide section to help you find specific commands.
To use the hex dump feature, follow these steps:
1. After you make sure the printer is off, open the cover.
2. Hold down the FEED button while you turn on the printer.
3. Close the cover.
4. Run any software program that sends data to the printer. The
printer prints “Hexadecimal Dump” and then all the codes it
receives in a two-column format. The first column contains the
hexadecimal codes and the second column gives the ASCII
characters that correspond to the codes.
Hexadecimal Dump
1B 21 00 1B 26 02 40 40 . ! . . & . @ @
1B 25 01 1B 63 34 00 1B . % . . c4 . .
41 42 43 44 45 46 47 48 ABCDEFGH
❏ A period (.) is printed for each code that has no ASCII
equivalent.
❏ During the hex dump all commands except DLE EOT and
DLE ENQ are disabled.
5. Open the cover to set the printer off line, so that it will print the
last line.
6. Close the cover and turn off the printer or reset it to turn off the
hex dump mode.

PLEASE CHECK THE LINK TO GET THE ESC CODES:
