Targus (AMW05US) Mouse lost receiver

If you use a different receiver from the same manufacture and if it is the same version it should work. If you try another from another manufacture there is a good chance it will not work. Check the battery and unplug the receiver and replug it back and see if it makes any change. Try to install the driver if you have one.

My Targus AMP06CA wireless remote is not recognised by my laptop but worked just a couple of months ago. I can't install it and I jst changed the batteries.

8 If you have a broken or damaged Targus amp01us presenter, I might be interested in purchasing it. I need to extract the internal transmitter and so it doesn't need to function. If you're interested in selling it you can contact me at [email protected]

Change batteries in a targus portable mouse

I found the user guide in French. It says to slide back the cover behind the Logo on top.
also found it in English:

Installing the Batteries
Optical Mouse
1 Remove the battery cover from the top of the mouse by
pressing the top center (over the Targus logo) and
sliding it back.
2 Insert the supplied batteries , making sure that the
positive (+) and negative (-) ends of each battery match
the polarity indicators inside the battery housing.
WARNINGS: When replacing the batteries, you may use
alkaline or other heavy-duty NiMH batteries. Never
combine an alkaline with a NiMH battery in a device.
Avoid mixing new and used batteries in a device.
3 Slide the battery cover back in to position until it “clicks”
firmly into place.
4 Turn on the mouse by sliding the on/off switch on the
bottom of the mouse to the “on” position.
The optical sensor, located on the bottom of the mouse,
glows red.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe

Targus mouse remote

If the Red Light is on the batteries should be good enough to function. Try
Normal 0 Turn the mouse over and find the small rest/connect button on the bottom of the mouse and press it. This should connect the mouse to the receiver and work properly. If not, try pressing the receiver button and then press the button on the mouse. This should be done whenever you change batteries or glitch.
Hope this helps you. Bud
