The power supply could certainly go bad. Have you had any power surges or outages recently? Do you use a surge protector? Is there any other device plugged into the same circuit that is having problems?

You can probably find a new power supply for your printer somewhere online, but between the cost to buy it, cost to ship it, and time spent replacing it, you're probably just better off buying a new printer.

The power supply in your TV is going bad which is why you have to unplug it and then plug it back in for it to power on. When the part fails completely, you won't be able to power the TV on at all.
