Freezer is not cold enough to freeze food

I understand that your Frigidaire freezer is not getting cold enough to freeze your food. I suggest cleaning the compressor, underneath your appliance, by using an attachment on your vacuum. I also suggest lowering the temperature and giving your freezer 4-24 hours to stabilize at that temperature. If the unit is running continuously and not maintaining the temperature cold enough the system may have a leak. If it is NOT running continuously the problem could be in the temperature control.

If the compressor is running and it still doesn't cool, it is probably leaking freon. If this is a frostless model there are other minor things that can go wrong. This usually shows up on a freezer that has recently been moved or hasn't been used for a time. This is almost never worth fixing as even if you fix it you can't ever completely trust it again. The food inside is usually worth far more than the freezer and most homeowners insurance doesn't cover it anyway.

Sounds like the system is low on freon. The other common problem is a dirty condenser. Insure the condenser is clean, if it is. You will need to charge the system with freon. Which only a qualified refrigeration tech should do.

I would definitely start by checking if the fan is working. Note that the fan is switched off when you open the door, so you need to press the door switch and then check if it is working. If not, that will be the problem.
