SOURCE: Epson Pro 7600 Service required error

You need to be able to clear the counters in the printer that tell the printer to stop working.
In order to do that you must

1. Turn printer off
2. you must hold down the "Paper Source, Paper Feed, Select Feed, Cut/Eject" buttons all at the sime time while you turn the printer back on.
3. From there navigate through the menues to clear the counter that pertains to you or all.
(Error 00000101 is pertains to the print head motor)

Word of warning -
Those counters can be a pain as they cause the printer to stop working however you do need to get your printer serviced by a tech as soon as you can because the error is a warning, reset the counters lets you finsih a job, but if it goes unserviced too long it will actually break down all togther.

So even after you rest the counters you absolutly must get your printer serviced soon.

SOURCE: waste ink pad saturated. EPSON STYLUS PHOTO R360

Replacing the pads is costly, messy and requires the printer to be taken completely apart. If you have little or no experience of stripping down printers it is best left to a proffessional. Contact Epson to find your nearest service centre, but remember to get a quote as it may be more economical to replace the printer. Sometimes the counter can "jump" to the end of life number, this especially happens where 3rd party or refilled inks have been used. If you believe this to be the case and there is no sign of ink leakage and the pads look fairly clean then you can just reset the counter using special software called the SSC utility. See these sites:
http://www.ssclg.com/epsone.shtml
http://inkjetprinterhelp.us/epsonSSC.html
More information about this issue and the "official" Epson resetter is available from the Epson web site, please read this link:
http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/support/InkPadsForm.jsp

Please take a moment to rate this solution. Thanks.

SOURCE: reset ink-pad counter on epson stylus photo 1400

Hi,

The simplest way to do this is to grab a copy of the A10_IPR utility that Epson distribute to their customers...

The utility is available to North American customers if you register no this site page http://www.epson.com/ipr/

The utility is also know to be available in the wild if you search for "waste ink ipr".

Just remember to scan any download using a virus and malware scanner before you attempt to use it as some utilities contain trojans or similar nasties.

Hope that helps.

SOURCE: changed black ink cartridge for epson stylus d120 but not working

Usually when this happens the printer fails to goes through the motions of the printing process, kind of stands still with indicator lights just blinking away. This could be as a result of either of these scenarios.
i.                     Ink cartridge has developed incompatibility or is incompatible
The Solution is to try an older/another cartridge (doesn’t matter if ink is finished. You must replace cartridge one at a time). If lights stop blinking it confirms that your cartridge has become incompatible or developed incompatibility. Also if your printer is the type that can work with only one cartridge, remove one after the other (closing back the lid/cover) to determine which in the set (black or color) has become incompatible. At the instance the incompatible one is removed and you close the lid, the blinking will stop (for printers that can print with one ink cartridge only). Just replace the incompatible one and start printing again. In most cases the issue is always with one cartridge. But if both are affected, you have to replace both. Because of this type of problem, always keep used cartridges somewhere safe; they come in handy for this type of troubleshooting.
ii.                   The Cartridge electronic panel  is dirty
The electronic panel on the cartridge that makes contact with the cartridge carrier inside the printer is dirty and needs cleaning.  This electronic panel is front part of the cartridge with copper “dots”.
The Solution is to try to clean this panel with a piece of folded tissue paper soaked in a bit of methylated spirit. Also try to clean the area in the cartridge carrier/holder that makes contact with the cartridge’s electronic panel (Usually this is more difficult). If you cannot reach it with your fingers, use a stick or something with tissue wrapped around it. Allow to dry well and return the cartridges, close the cover. The blinking should stop if the electronic panel is the issue. Once the blinking stops the printer will print.

I have a Epson Stylus Pro 7600. How can air get in the lines?

The only reason I know is by allowing the cartridge to completely run out of ink. That is why you cannot print in black only when a colour has expired. The printer does not only use the black cartridge it uses a bit from each cartridge to ensure the nozzles stay clean.

I cannot find the sub menu on my Epson Stylus pro 7600 printer as I have air in one of the ink lines and i need to re charge it

I'd suggest just performing a cleaning cycle as this will also get rid of air in the ink tubes.

If you realy have a need for it holding down the following buttons at power on enables you to enter the service menu: paper-source + paper-feed-down + cut/eject
just be really careful as you can cause a lot of damage within this menu to your printer.

How can I remove the Ink Cartridges from an epson 7600 stylus pro. I lifted the locking arm but to no avail! Help :)

After the printer is powered On, Open the ink compartment on the Left hand side of the machine (Pull downward), then you'll see another small Lock (Ink Lever), raise it upward and remove them one by one.
You can refer to this manual (Page no. 38-40) http://ftp.epson.com/pdf/pro76u/pro76uu1.pdf
If you have problem, let me know.

Good luck.

Thanks for using FixYa.

I have an Epson Stylus Pro 7600 with a Agfa Sherpa 24M sticker on it. Baught some cartridges from Epson but I get Wrong ink message. Any way to work around this problem?

You need to either buy AGFA cartridges ot apparently you can take the chip off the AGFA cartridge and put it on a Epson or compatible. It will always say it's empty but should still work

I have an Epson Stylus 7600 printer. Now the red ink is not not working.

Try cleaning the ink cartridges with the utility that's supplied with your printer. If you don't use your printer on a regular basis the cartridges tend to dry on the surface and need a good cleaning.
