I need the service manual as well

If you didn't have the orange light to start with and were replacing the sleeve due to a torn or damaged sleeve it sounds like you haven't plugged everything back in. The Error is an electrical fault with the fuser circuit.
Verify that all wires are plugged back in. Two areas to pay specific attention to are as follows. (1.) BOTH slide clips witth wires that you removed on the upper fuser edges to mount the new sleeve. Thats the connections for the ceramic element. If you get to having to uninstall and check the fuser, put an ohm meter on both ends of the element to ensure it's not shorted. My meter when on ohms has a beep when the leads are touched together when the meter is measuring ohms. Check for the beep when touching both ends of the element and that will prove the element good.
(2) On the board in the base of the machine, there are some plug in connections on the lower board very close to the rear edge and just about centered left to right. It's a cluster of about 3 or 4. Unplug the connections and pay close attention to the height of the pins inside the connection. One of those connections has a nasty habit of the pins slidding through to the other side and not making good contact. If I remember right its the right hand connection in the cluster or the one next to the right one. You can use the connections rest to it as a visual referance for the height. If the pin or pins have pushed down, carefully pull them back up with needle nose pliers or tweezers and replug the connection back in.
Hope that helps you. Just in case, heres a free manual PDF link to use to resolve. It's a 1200 manual as the 1300 wasn't listed but the processes are identical. Most of the parts are the same but check first before ordering any parts.

SOURCE: Slow printing of Acrobat pdf files on HP Laserjet 1300
Hey look, sorry for all the BS you've been given. Its an issue here.
How much ram does your laser jet hold right now?
This would be the choke point on an HP laser jet.
A typical PDF file in high res can be many many megabytes in size and the HP Laser treats these documents as an image file, same in true in Windows, but uses local ram not printer ram like an Apple.
So, if you have a 256K chip, its possible, on your printer and the file is 4-6 MBs in size, you could be looking at a 16-20 minute print job.
I'm not familiar with any tricks to get your printer to use local ram as a cache. If you have Boot Camp, you might consider starting that emulator up and printing from that interface. No real hope for a difference but its worth the try.
Hope that give you some real thoughts to chew over.
Regards,
Worldvet

SOURCE: Free HP LaserJet 1300 Printer Driver
i don't have priter driver for HP Laser Jet 1300 printer, can i download it, how to download it?
SOURCE: HP Laserjet 1300 yellow light STILL flashing
Re-installing the print driver will not solve a flashing light. If the printer is functionally ok, it will come to ready simply by plugging into the wall. It sounds to me like a fatal error at this point.....could be a long list of things, but I would lean towards a formatter board. bottom line with this printer at this point in it's life is, if it doesn't work, it's not worth fixing. Replaceable for about $100.
