How do i enter maintenance mode on dcp8150

You can access the following by hitting the menu key

1. Enter the maintenance mode [>>Maintenance].

2. Press the OK key. [>>Maintenance?] will be displayed.
3. Press the OK key twice. The counter for each component is reset immediately.

Reset C6400 ERROR
turn the power switch off and open the front cover.
Then, turn the power switch on and press the system menu/counter key to enter the maintenance mode.

Most GPS navigation devices from Garmin has a reset function which allows user to access a Maintenance Mode screen with system information, diagnostic details or perform the reset function to restore Garmin Nuvi or other series unit to its original default factory settings.

Depending on which model of Garmin GPS unit you're using, the following routine can reset the Garmin device to original factory loaded settings, or bring up the Maintenance Mode with access to System Information and View Diagnostics screen, where users can see various logs, and of course, clear all user data (reset to factory defaults) or clear Waypoints.

4F message indicates that the printhead is dead, you will need to replace it to make it work again. Before you replace it, you may want to try this, see if it will remove the unable error message: Access the internal maintenance mode by pressing the Menu/Set button, then press * 2 8 6 4 within 2 seconds. This should put you in the maintenance mode menu. Enter 80, then scroll down with the arrow down (round) key. You'll find an entry listed as purge count. If number is over 6000, enter 2 7 8 3. This will reset the purge count value. Then the printer will restart, hopefully without the annoying error message.

Access the internal maintenance mode by pressing the Menu/Set button, then press * 2 8 6 4 within 2 seconds.
This should put you in the maintenance mode menu.
Enter 80, then scroll down with the arrow down (round) key.
You'll find an entry listed as purge count.
If number is over 6000, enter 2 7 8 3.

This will reset the purge count value. Then restart your printer and it should work just fine !

One other fix you can try is accessing the hidden maintenance mode. Try this;

You can enter the menu in this way:

Start up the machine with push in the buttons "online" and "cancel"
--You will see the message "Download mode press online key"
Press about 15 times the "menu" key
--You will see the message "Uncheck consumable mode"
Press about 15 times "menu" and 5 times "enter"
--You will see "Press access key"
Press a few enters
Press 3 times "cancel"
Go to the EDC mode
-- you will see "press access key"
Press "cancel"
Go to maintenance and initialize the parts you like to reset.

Try this:
There is a hidden maintenance menu in the machine!!!
