Good Morning Friend,

I understand that you are receiving an "AD" error code on your Frigidaire dryer, model# GLEQ2152ES0. I also see that your dryer is not heating. The "AD" code states that your appliance is in an auto dry cycle. I suggest resetting your dryer, by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your home's circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. Restore power and start any cycle. If further troubleshooting is needed, I ask that you please let me know the error codes displayed on your appliance. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

What might be wrong with my gallery dryer #gleq2152eso it does not heat?

Hi friend, I appreciate your post!

Based off the information you have provided your Frigidaire dryer, GLEQ2152ES0, is no longer heating. I understand that you heard a noise like pennies hitting the drum and then it stopped heating. Some possible reasons to why your dryer is not heating could be that your vent is restricted, an issue with your thermostat, or heating element. I would recommend having a technician come out to diagnose and repair your appliance because with the noise you heard he may need to disassemble the dryer. I hope this is helpful. -Matt

Barrel isn't turning.

I believe you will find the belt is broken.
There is a motor which is supposed to turn a belt, which in turn drives the drum.
If you wish to repair ir yourself, a letter to "Fixya" could cause someone to walk you through the steps.
Be blessed.

Problems with frigidaire affinity dryer model gle02152es1.

Hello ljdixon226 - From what you have described the unit could possibly have a communication problem with the control panel. However, if the unit is not producing any heat please have a professional diagnose the heating element and the blower assembly as well. Either, or, could be faulty at this time. This is not a typical DIY job so please consult a professional.

Frigidaire FEQ1442ES Electric Dryer not producing heat. Quits running part way through cycle... Lights flashing green.. Clothes never get dry. Code E95

Clogged Vent
If your dryer seems to run forever, it could be because of a clogged vent or internal ductwork. Your dryer may have an automatic cycle that turns off the dryer when the clothes are dry. It does this with a special thermostat or moisture-sensing system.
Normally, this is what happens during an automatic cycle:
The thermostat tells the dryer to heat until the interior of the dryer reaches a pre-set temperature--say 135 degrees.
When the dryer reaches the pre-set temperature, the thermostat tells the timer to begin advancing. (If there's a moisture sensor, the timer advances only if the moisture content of the clothing is low enough.)
The timer advances until the interior cools, then the thermostat tells the timer to stop advancing, and tells the dryer to start heating again.
This cycle continues until the clothes are dry. But...if the vent is clogged, the dryer may never reach the proper operating temperature, so it doesn't send the signal to the timer and the dryer continues to run indefinitely, even if the clothes are completely dry. To fix the problem, clean the vent and/or internal ductwork.
Heating Element
Your dryer's heating element may be partially burned out. If it is, your dryer still heats, but at such a low temperature that it takes three or four times as long to dry the clothes. If the element is partially burned out, replace the heating element. You can check for an ohm reading but will need to refer to the service manual for proper reading. This sometimes on the tech sheet located somewhere on the dryer. Usually between 9-13 ohms.
Cycling thermostat
Although this isn't a common problem, one of the thermostats that controls the temperature in your dryer may break and cause the dryer to heat poorly. If so, you need to replace it. The thermostat is usually a small, round, black device mounted to an oblong steel plate. The plate is mounted to the internal ductwork . This thermostat usually has four wires going to it. Check the 2 terminals that are opposite each other and are the closer together of the 2. These 2 terminals should have continuity. If not replace the thermostat.

Dryer runs for a while does not heat then kicks off but lights flash

Howdy: It seems that the fire ignitor is not turning on which turns on the element for heat. Also check the inside back of dryer to remove lint build-up. That to will think the dryer is too hot and shut down. - Good luck - Doug

Frigidaire gleq2152es0 dryer will not heat up. Runs just no heat.

At most you may find a relay in a dryer. They're usually wired pretty simple. Keep in mind that 220 comes from both wires, and meets in the middle, the load. Be careful if you test live! A control may break just one wire. At a failed component, you'll have 220 on both legs, but no go. Jumping that component will make the unit run. Don't jump the elements!!! You can put a false load where the elements go, but it must be 220 volt, like two lite bulbs in series. I make my tester out of two lite bulb pigtail fixtures wired in series. At 110 they glow less bright then at 220.
