How to fit primer bulb on mcculloch gladiator 550

From the fuel tank to the carb, from the carb to the primer, from the primer back to the fuel tank. The bulb sucks fuel through the carb excess fuel is returned to the tank. HTH

• The hose in the tank with the filter on the free end connects directly to the carburetor input connection.
• If the saw is equipped with a primer bulb, the output line from the carburetor connects to the suction side of the primer (once the bulb is collapsed it draws fuel from the tank through the carburetor to refill the bulb as it inflates).
• The pressure side of the primer returns displaced fuel to the tank as it is depressed.

OMs for McCulloch are tough. harder than replacing the fuel line. Have your saw within easy reach they will want the serial number and a few other things.
Operators Manuals: are much more difficult. I have dialed this number many times (Contact Us - All McCulloch Products 1 (800) 521-8559) and have yet to get a satisfactory response. Please try this! If enough of us try they will fix it! If unsuccessful with McCulloch try here:

Let us begin with the IPL. The IPL (exploded parts list) for your saw is the only detail for fuel line routing and it is sketchy at best. Fuel components and part numbers are listed but may be on different illustrations. They are also beneficial with disassembly/reassembly:
