Why do I hear a popping noise when turntable revolves counterclockwise.

If the turn table automatically picks up the tone arm and starts the record and changes after the record is over, then you are haering the gear box.

Check on vinylengine.com for a Users Manual. You can download it for free once you register. The gear wheel might not be set right. If that doesn't help, pick up a 6100 Service Manual. I think I bought mine on ebay for about $10

I have a microwave over my stove. the turntable isn't turning. it makes a noise like the gears aren't meshing.

The turntable system typically consists of the motor, the coupler, the turntable support with rollers, and the tray.

Here is a video of how a turntable motor should sound when you rotate it by hand.

If yours is not set to be off via the control panel, and it won't rotate or it sounds like it's grinding, etc., you may have a bad motor or plastic coupler.

To replace either, you need to unplug power, then remove the bottom cover of the oven.

You can find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts here.

The turntable makes a noise - every time the microwave is turned on - if I turn the turntable off - there isn`t the noise

there is a gera rotating the turn table, and because of the frequent usage, it needs to be chack up and clean and be lubricated so the the gear and bearing can turn smoothly, if you can access the rotor(the gear that makes the turntable turn) try to clean it and put some lubrication (grease or a oil)

Microwave turntable does not turn

I have the exact microwave you do (ems8000w), the motor failed and I found this one worked perfectly as a replacement.

The original is impossible to find.
