Why do photos in bright daylight wash out - never happened before

this happened to my camera. i just restsarted it if you can do that.

check ISO keep it auto. if its same problem then ur CCD is weak.

Things to watch out for:

• Make sure that your finger is not blocking the flash while you are holding the camera
• Make sure that the exposure settings are set properly (user manual page 11)
• Make sure that you press the shutter button half-way down and wait a couple of seconds for the camera to focus. Once it has focused then go ahead and press the shutter button all the way down to take the picture. (user manual page 10)

Check to be sure your camera is set for automatic. If it is set for indoors, it will wash out.

canon powershot A470 problem when i click photo then white image come? but when i use it night it is normal. but during daylight or with sunlight.. white image appear....and every time i take a picture there's a horizontal line appears in the picture..

if it is a two wire photo cell ( as opposed to a three wire) then the load on the cell is very important check the instructions lots of load sensative photo cells won't work with low voltage lighting or led lights, good luck
