Onkyo htr558 has no picture

• Check your cable connections

• set the input selector to the proper component sources your using.

• set your speaker settings to either 5.1 or 7.1, according to your speaker configuration via Onkyo's AccuEQ automatic setup tool- because the same binding posts can be used for hooking up the Atmos height or surround back speakers; you'll need to tell the Onkyo system which setup you're using.

Sir to narrow the problem try to use other dvd cd and observe if same result, and check also the sound setting of your dvd set it to mono or other set up same with your onkyo good day sir and best regards.

Get a THX video set up disk (some movies have them on) and read the Onkyo manual for video setup between source and target. I have the BD35 Blu ray and a Panasonc 37" plasma, the pic via the amp was a bit off before the 4 hours of tweaking but now looks fab, after the process tweaks the sound sync needed a bit of work to get it all synched up but it is really worth the effort.

I have the same problem.It's definitely the pre-amplifier board (board with speaker terminals).I did not quite nail the exact component yet but I replaced with a working one and got back sound output.

Go to hardware set up and turn off the hdmi audio output,sounds daft but it should work,also make sure the B speakers are not on as this puts the menu up the left.

No current firmware available on this unit-you have the latest. I would get with Denon on the difficulty...accordianman

Check out Onkyo's website: The HT-SR 800 description says "a separate audio connection is necessary" Maybe it is true for the --750 too.

It may be the PS3
you have to select Optical Out 5.1 etc first.
That PS3 is not user friendly at all.
