Marshall mg100hdfx input into output

I have a marshall MG100HDFX that I'm trying to fix for a buddy. Apparently he ran another amp's output INTO the speaker output of the MG100. Where is a good place to start looking for problems?

SOURCE: marshall mg 100hdfx fan

Some of the Marshall equipment uses computer size fans and even on occasion the same connection.

Take the bad fan with you to a computer repair shop it will be much cheaper than a marshall part they should be able to help you out

Testimonial: "that sounds like the best way to do it..will just take fan to computer shop and try and get a replacement...thanks for the assistance"

You'll have to take it in to get it repaired. From what you described it sounds like you blew the output stage out. You can't run from your speaker output jack into the input jack of another amp. You should go out of the recording out, line out, effects out or in the least case your headphone out. What happens usually is your output transformer short circuits due to a mismatch of impedances. It sounds like you still have a transformer though so you might have gotten lucky. You will need to take it in though. Sorry.

Assuming that you have a single point speaker system, (or piggyback speakers) use the mono output, otherwise, the tone modifications that you apply to one of the channels, wont be heard. The two channels have independent setups.

Marshall MG100HDFX, VERY loud painful humming/noises as soon as the amp is turned on. Cant be adjusted by volume or anything, is this a connection problem?

Likely the filter capacitor(s) have failed OR the power amp has shorted driving DC with ripple into your speaker (very bad). Take it for repair before damage might be done.

I have 2 marshall mg100hdfx heads, i want to run them together, how do i wire them?

You have to use seperate speakers for each. These are not designed for any form of "bridged" operation.
You would have to wye the inouts from your source.

Marshall mg100hdfx loud fuzz and distortion and no guitar sound

Check your input (guitar signal).
Also, check your gain and volume levels.
Make sure that you have a reliable, steady, and clean power source as well.
If the problem persists, contact the store from which it was purchased. There are a lot of things that can go wrong internally with the cheaper Marshall models.
