I TURN MY TV ON AND IT HAS A STROBE LIGHT EFFECT TO IT. THE PICTURE WORKS GREAT ITS JUST HARD TO WATCH IT OR PLAY A GAME ON IT WITH THE STROBE LIGHT EFFECT

I've fixed several of these, easy fix, you will need to replace both 470uf 35 volt capacitors on the master and slave inverter boards. So you will have to replace a total of 4 capacitors. The capacitors themselves are about 50 cents a piece. The inverter boards are on the far left and far right of the set. You will have to remove the back cover to see them. If you don't have the ability to replace the capacitors, you can just order new inverter boards for $40-$60.

I have a Samsung ln46c630 which was purchased in May 2010. For the last few weeks it has started to have a strobing effect. Switching the source sometimes fixes the problem. It will run fine for a while...

Any luck? We bought our tv (same one) in March of last year. It is doing the exact same thing. Time Warner has already came out and switched out the cable box and cables. We have a tv tech coming soon (contracted out from Samsung, of course...) Problem persists...

Flashing picture

I had the same problem with my 237V, I had to replace the power supply to fix the problem. I believe when it would work the output voltage of the power supply was around 19.2v. When the screen started to strobe the voltage had jumped up to 21.5V. A new power supply fixed it for me but now I think my main board is on the fritz.

V172RTNRA 17 in. LCD is strobing.

I solved my problem when I tried using a different Power supply. The Batesias V171RTNRA uses a 12V 4.2Amp positive center post power supply. I discovered that I had a 12V 3.0Amp power supply that had belonged to a hard drive and decided to give it a try.

It worked like a charm. Something had gone bad with the original Power Supply causing strobing in the picture. With the replacement Power Supply it no longer strobes and works perfectly.

I am not sure if it's the lower Amps that solved the problem or not.
