Yes, it is bad for the environment and can cause all kind of disease that would probably get blamed on something else. Good soil invites worms that produce what the soil needs to support plants poisons kill the microbes in the soil and the worms leave.

We have a weed spreading rapidly it has been identified as Richadia have used Metsolfuren which only kills it temporarily but also kills the grass ....we are looking at a 5 acre patch

There are chemicals on the market such as Round Up Or Weed Be Gone. or others that you can use to completely kill this weed. I have used Weed Be Gone and it does not kill the grass. Whether it kills this weed you would have to see. If you use Round Up it kills every thing even grass. I have sprayed a large area then replanted grass after the weed is gone.

A convenient way to kill individual weeds in your lawn

I purchase full strength roundup from places that sell fertilizers etc to farmers. I mix my own roundup per their recommendations plus a little. I fill a small eye drops bottle with my mixed roundup. I like this bottle because it has a small opening so I can squeeze out a drop at a time.. I carry the bottle of mixed roundup in my pocket, with the lid shut tight of course, and as I mow and I spot a weed I take out the bottle and place on or two drops on that weed. One drop of roundup on a leaf of a plant will kill it but I try to place one or two drops right in the middle of the plant. Roundup is fed to the root of the plant from the leaf kills the weed from the roots up. This works well because I can kill the weed without killing grass or other plants around it. Wind will not effect it because the roundup is place on the plant not sprayed on it. Roundup needs about 12 hours to work so do not water right away. Ready mixed roundup from a store may work, I have not tried it because I want to be sure the mixture is strong enough to do the job. About 4 ounces per gallon of water is recommended, I increase that to about 6 ounces. Works great.

Want to kill grass is vinegar by itself enough ot do i add water to it

One quart of vinegar -- with 20 percent acetic acid -- mixed with 4 ounces of lemon juice will kill the above-ground portions of the weeds and grass. The foliage, flowers, buds and stems will wither, dry and die, but the weed's roots are left intact. For a tougher weed and grass kills, combine 1 tablespoon of 20 percent vinegar, 1 tablespoon of gin, 1 quart of water and 1 teaspoon of dish soap. This mixture kills the above-ground and below-ground portions -- including roots -- of the weeds.

What is the mixing rate for round up to kill broadleaf weeds such as thistle, parthenium etc so that I do not kill the grass

Any round up mix that will kill the weeds will kill the grass. the only way I can think of is to tie a sponge to a stick dip in round up and apply to each weed, you will not have to cover the whole weed, just touch a few leaves.

No spark on Weed Eater FB25 25cc Gas Blower

Test the kill switch first, disconnect the kill switch and see if you have spark. Then the kill switch is not working or is grounding out. If not, the problem could be the ignition module.

Of roundup powermax do I mix per gallon of water to kill grass and weeds?

last bottle of this product I had , it had a lift off label that included all the mixing instructions ,

I will say if you have long fence lines or large areas of grass/weeds to kill , id use something a bit more economical as this product /it works well but it is a bit on the expensive side for large areas , ive found that just a block of softener salt soaking in a five gallon pail of water for a few days , works very well for large areas of land sprayed on to clear it of weeds and grass (although it's not rain proof)

Newly planted red apple iceplant but weeds are taking over

I have heard of two possible choices, the first is a product called "Killer" sold at Armstrongs Gargen centers that may kill the grass, but not the Ice Plants. Check out - http://www.garden-counselor-lawn-care.com/kill-crabgrass.html
and

Good Luck, I Have not used it, but going to in the next couple of days, seems to be the best choice I can find so far.
