Check for this bad capacitors,you have to remove back cover of the monitor

If possible, attach analog and DVI cable together from one single graphics card.
Just to test your monitor is due to old age or component failure.

if the monitor showing powersaving mode, monitor is ok. It must be your CPU complaint.

Hi, September 2008 and still problems happening with the LG screens. Mine is a Flatron W1942T.
I hit the screen as suggested (my old mum was a great believer in " if it won't work kick it", this applied to anything electrical, tele, vacuum cleaner etc.,) and guess what? my old mum was right. The screen came on.
Hope this works if it happens again. I'd turned everything off because of an electrical/thunder storm. Won't do that again.

Go into the menu and reset the monitor to factory defaults.

If its going to analog power saving mode, that is what its supposed to do when it does not get a recognizable connection from a computer vga port. I would suggest coming back on with some more information about your computer and suggest testing another screen on your pc.
