I'm having this problem,, press power on, nothing happens.
There is no reset button on the plug,, and I can't see a reset hole on the unit.
Any other suggestions?

Try resetting the GFI breaker, assuming it is connected to one. Also check the main breaker panel to make sure the breaker is not tripped. Unfortunately the electronic panels do go bad in these systems after a few years of service. Try resetting the unit. There should be a tiny reset button on the back. Also if the bucket is full it will not turn on, make sure it is in place and seated properly or it will not turn on. There may be a reset on the cord itself as well, hope this helps.

Says bucket full and it is empty

There is a float switch somewhere to measure the level of water in the bucket. That switch is out of position or broken. This can happen if you are not careful removing and re-installing the bucket. Look at the area around the bucket and you should be able to find and fix the switch. Make sure the power is off when you are doing this.

My lg DEHUMIDIFIER model #LHD65EBL is no taking in any water. Cleaned the filter and coils.Installed the basket properly.Set the setting at 35 to70 and nothing happens. just runs. About 4 years old.

According to your Owner's Manual. once the humidity extraction level is set at 35%, you should push the minus (-) key one more time to turn the unit ON. It will now run continuously no matter what the humidity level is until the bucket is full.

In case you have misplaced your Owner's Manual, go to the link below and click on English. The Owner's Manual will download and you may print it for future reference.

How do I hook this up to drain through a hose

The following link is to the Owner's Manual for your unit. Once the link opens, look to the right of the page and you will see Dehumidifiers Manual English. Click on that and the manual will download. Yours is a unique setup, so it's best you see not only the instructions, but also the pictures. Look at the section entitled Disposing of Collected Water, Page 12.

MY LG MODEL # LD450EAL HAS THE FULL BUCKET LIGHT BLINKING AND THE BUCKET IS EMPTY AND HAS BEEN CHECKED TO MAKE SURE THAT IT HAS BEEN REINSTALLED PROPERLY BUT IT STILL DOES NOT STOP BLINKING AND THE UNIT...

Turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to OFF and unplug the unit from the wall. Remove the bucket and check inside the top of the bucket for a Float Valve (some Haier unit have them) It may be stuck in the UP position. If so, jiggle the arm of the float vale to get it to return to the DOWN position. Reinstall the bucket again. However, leave the unit OFF & unplugged for 10 minutes, before plugging it back in and turning it ON. Whether you have a float valve of not, the 10 minute time out, should have given the unit's electronics time to reset themselves.

Hope this helped you troubleshoot and solve the problem.

Timer switch mode is inoperable. no lights in timer setting, the lg ld450eal model operates continously. please advise how to program the 2 hour or 4 hour timer

With the Dehumidifier switch on, pressing the Timer Button should changed between 2hr and 4hr mode.

If this is what you're doing and it isn't lighting the LED nextto the 2hr and 4hr can you confirm what setting you have for the humidity?

One-year old LG humidifier (LD450EAL) runs but no water is being extracted from the air - the hose outlet is dry. The hose is connected properly, and the compressor sounds like it's running, not just...

Alan, it may simply be a case of several things, that can easily corrected at home.

1. The Humidity Extraction Level is set to High. Lower it to 32-35%.

2. Air intake filter is dirty or clogged. Remove, inspect the filter and clean if necessary. It it's a
Washable Filter, allow it to thoroughly dry before reinstalling it.

3. Obstructed Air Flow. A minimum of 12" to 18" clear air around the entire unit, must be
maintained.

4. The ambient air temperature at floor level is between 40 - 60 degrees F. This is particularly true in
basement applications. The air temp at floor level is colder than the air temp at shoulder level.
Dehumidifiers don't work well in that temperature range (Unless, it's a Low Temp model). Raise
the unit up off the floor on to a sturdy table, counter top, etc, that can handle the weight of the
unit, plus a full tank of water.

If you troubleshoot the 4 things listed above, it may quickly solve the problem. Please let me know. Thanks.

My dehumidifier keeps turning off is hooked up to hose no water draining air filter is clean. model #ld450eal 45 pint

The most common problem is that the humidity extraction level is set to high. Set it to it's lowest setting. If you have an LED screen on your unit, the lowest setting will probably be 35%. Or in the case of no LED screen, Minimal will be the setting you want to use.

Since you're using a drain hose, I assume the unit is in the basement. If that's the case, the ambient air temperature at floor level, may be to cold for the unit to operate properly. Most dehumidifiers struggle at air temperatures between 40 and 60 degrees F. Try placing the unit up off the floor on something sturdy that can handle the weight (including a full tank of water) and the vibration during operation.

Hope this helped you trouble shoot and solve the problem. Please let me know. Thanks.

My new LG "ld450eal" DeHumidifier

The switch that says 'Bucket is full' is not adjusted properly.
It will need to be adjusted, normally a screw driver or pliers,
so that when its empty the switch is not made or the contacts
are open.
If it is in adjustment properly, then the switch is bad and needs
replacing.
Before you replace it, check to make sure the wires leading to it
are not touching, it may be sending a signal meaning 'full' by
electricaly touching each other at the switch.
